- Old Business
-
Destination Christian Services, Inc. spent 2005 revamping the
Board and reorganizing priorities in order to begin 2006 with renewed
motivation and determination to fully accomplish God's will in the new
year.
- New Business
-
With a new Board of Directors in place and a new scriptural
motto for 2006: "Man devises his plan, but God directs his steps", DCS,
Inc. started the new year with goals in place and the plan to accomplish
them. We've added 4 new board members and swapped the assignments
of 2 others. We've also changed the name of our publishing
company back to its original Destination Publications. And finally
our most exciting new addition is the organizations new legal counsel
Ms. Tamara Benefield, Esq.
- Immediate Goals
-
With just a few more documents to file, the number one priority
for DCS, Inc. is to acquire our official 501 c(3) tax-deduction status.
Next on the agenda is the announcement of our first fundraiser and
introduction to the public. Finally, DCS, Inc. will be
implementing a pilot satellite program that is based on our Online
Academy curriculum.
- Long-Term Goals
-
By the end of 2006 DCS, Inc. hopes to have accomplished several
large scale projects. We intend to have the web site for the
Online Academy fully functioning and ready for students. And, we
intend to hold our first annual "Destination Opportunity" Fundraising
Banquet and Concert in order to raise scholarship money for the first
students to participate in the Online Academy in 2007. Also
prior to the end of the year, Destination Publications and Reaching
Hands Ministries hopes to have completed the 2007 "What If" Calendar in
time for RHM's "Thankful Hands Fundraiser" in November. RHM is
looking to begin operation by December 2006.
- Financial Statement
-
In February of 2006, DCS, Inc. received a private donation of
$2500 of which will be used for operational and legal fees, and base
capital for the first "Destination Inspiration" Fundraiser to be held
the weekend before Easter, 2006.
